San Antonio Clubhouse

Clubhouse Trains and Gains

This month, San Antonio Clubhouse is taking significant steps to enhance colleague training and employment development. A group of staff and members recently embarked on a productive journey to PLAN @ 1121 Rock in Richardson, north of Dallas. During their visit, they gained valuable insights into incorporating employment tasks into the work-ordered day, forging employer partnerships, and understanding the potential of Transitional Employment positions. The experience left our team inspired and enthusiastic about advancing employment initiatives in San Antonio.

Building on this momentum, Celeste and Meghan, who lead employment efforts under the banner of LifeWork, will further their expertise during a week-long Employment Training at Genesis Club in Worcester, Massachusetts. Genesis Club is nationally recognized for its expertise in creating unique employment opportunities that are central to many members' clubhouse experiences. We eagerly anticipate the knowledge and innovative ideas they'll bring back to bolster our community efforts in LifeWork.

Quote of the Month

“Wellbeing is about the combination of our love for what we do each day, the quality of our relationships, the security of our finances, the vibrancy of our physical health, and the pride we take in what we have contributed to our communities. Most importantly, it’s about how these five elements interact.”
